The fire has been mapped at 27 acres in size.

Forward progress of the fire has been stopped. Crews will remain on scene through the afternoon to continue mop-up operations around the burn area.


JEFFERSON COUNTY, Montana — Emergency crews responded to a wildfire off Upper Valley Road north of Boulder on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 11:15 a.m.

The Jefferson County Montana Sheriff's Office advised the public to avoid the area.

"No structures are threatened at this time," said the Sheriff's Office in a Facebook post.
