Afrique en Cirque coming to Mother Lode stage

Afrique en Cirque, a show by Yamoussa Bangoura, is inspired by daily life in Guinea.

The colorful show promises to make the Mother Lode Theatre at 316 W. Park St., vibrate with energy. The Butte show is at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 11.

According to the production company’s website, the show takes the audience on a trip to African soil where the sets and costumes pay homage to the Guinean diaspora.

The audience will see acrobats execute gravity-defying moves and human pyramids, accompanied by the contemporary sounds of live Afro-Jazz, percussion, and kora.
