Why are you running to be an ASMSU senator?

I’m running to effectively represent the interests of the students of Arts and Architecture and to ensure that ASMSU works in the interests of the diverse student body it represents.

What relevant experience equips you to be a senator?

At MSU, I have been the president of two Hall Council organizations, this year at the ResLife apartments and last year at The Quads/Hannon. We have organized large events, like last year’s Quadstock, and provided services to students, like improved workout facility equipment in Hannon.

If elected, what would be your top priorities as a senator and why?

My top priority is addressing our University’s impact on our changing climate. Climate change is of paramount importance to our collective future, and it will define the most pressing issues of our time, like human migration, disease ecology, food insecurity, and the changing natural environment.

What ideas do you have to address those priorities?

I will work to improve the most effective sustainability projects supported by ASMSU, like the Streamline Bus service, and to support the accurate reporting of emissions at MSU to identify the most effective future projects.
