ASMSU College of Business Senators
The following responses have been submitted by students running for election as College of Business Senators.
Paige LePard
In a tweet, why should MSU students vote for you?
I am passionate about serving the students of MSU, I have the experience necessary to do a great job on the senate, and I have a lot of energy to dedicate to ASMSU
Why are you running to be an ASMSU senator?
I have been involved in student government since 6th grade. I wasn’t always planning on running in college but when the time came to apply to campaign for ASMSU senate, I knew I needed to apply. I love being the voice of students in important discussions at any level and hope to do so as a senator.
What relevant experience equips you to be a senator?
I have seven years of student government experience. My junior and senior year of high school, I served the students of Montana as the student representative to the Montana Board of Public Education. Because of this, I have experiences that not many students have. I believe that this understanding of the public school system will serve me well as a senator.
If elected, what would be your top priorities as a senator and why?
My top priority is the mental health and well being of all Montana State students. I will ensure that students in all of the colleges at MSU are aware of the resources available to them, not just the students that I will represent in the college of business. I also want to make the changes necessary so that all students feel safe and accepted on the MSU campus.
What ideas do you have to address those priorities?
I want to encourage better advertisement of the mental health resources available on campus. To create an environment of inclusion and safety, I want to give groups that have been personally attacked a platform to voice their stories. I want them to know they are not alone and they are supported by people on campus and we will continue to fight for their safety and well being on campus.
