Belgrade police seek help identifying truck involved in Town Pump hit-and-run

The Belgrade Police Department said online that it received enough information to move forward with the investigation.

After adding the update, it turned off comments on the post asking for help.

"Thank you to our community for your assistance," the department wrote.

BELGRADE, Mont. — Belgrade Police Department needs the community's help tracking down a truck involved in a hit-and-run at Town Pump.

The incident happened Sunday night, according to a police department Facebook post. Investigators are trying to figure out who owns the vehicle.

Police shared photos of the truck on social media as they work the case.

Anyone who recognizes the truck or knows anything about what happened can call the Belgrade Police Department at 406-388-4262.

Police are asking people not to post names in social media comments or send tips through Facebook, since the page isn't monitored around the clock.
