Butte broken windows investigation leads to arrests across city

Butte, Mont. — The Butte-Silver Bow Law Enforcement Department reported Butte police were investigating numerous reports of broken windows across the city after damage was linked to projectiles fired from slingshots.

According to the department, police carried out an extensive investigation throughout April 4, 2026 and took multiple suspects into custody while recovering evidence.
