Butte Rescue Mission seeks donations for 200 person Easter dinner

Marking the holiest day of the year, the Butte Rescue Mission is hosting an Easter Sunday dinner on April 5.

Brayton Erickson, the mission’s executive director, is asking residents to also shop for Butte residents without homes while shopping for their own Easter meal.

According to Erickson, approximately 200 homeless men, women and families are expected to attend.

Donations of drinks and soda, veggie and relish trays, meat and cheese trays, pies, desserts, and whipped cream are on the request list, along with monetary contributions.

The holiday menu will include ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, salads, relish plates, and meat and cheese trays followed by dessert. Participating families will receive Easter baskets and Easter eggs.
