Butte-Silver Bow sees three fires within first days of March

BUTTE-SILVER BOW, Mont. – The Butte-Silver Bow Fire Department responded to three structure fires within the first four days of March, according to a report.

The first fire occurred on March 1 in the 2000 block of Sherman Avenue. Firefighters collaborated to contain the blaze and prevent further damage.

On March 4, a house fire was reported by a neighbor who saw smoke. Firefighters arrived quickly and stopped the fire from spreading beyond the room where it started.

Later that same day, the fire department rushed to the Fairmont area to extinguish a barn fire, successfully keeping it from spreading to nearby buildings.

The Butte-Silver Bow Fire Department reminds residents to ensure smoke alarms are installed and functioning properly. They urge the community to report any signs of fire or smoke immediately by calling 911.
