Delmoe Lake Campground closure set to begin April 1 for upgrades
BEAVERHEAD-DEERLODGE NATIONAL FOREST — A campground and day use area will be off-limits for seven months starting next month, according to Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest.
The Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest announced that the Delmoe Lake Campground and day use area will be temporarily closed for major infrastructure upgrades and repairs.
The closure takes effect at 12:00 a.m. on April 1, 2026 and will remain in place through October 31, 2026, unless rescinded earlier.
Forest Service Road 9371, known as Delmoe Lake Campground Road, will be closed from its junction with Forest Service Road 222, or Delmoe Lake Road, to the B Loop of the campground.
The entire area within and surrounding the campground and day use area will also be closed, including Forest Service lands down to the shoreline of Delmoe Lake within the campground boundary.
The forest service says the closures are necessary to ensure the safety of staff and the public during the work.
All other campgrounds and trails outside of the closure area surrounding Delmoe Lake will remain open for recreational use.
A map of the closure area and full description is available on the forest service website.
