Eagle Mount Bozeman Unveils Initiative For Facility Upgrades

BOZEMAN, Mont. – Eagle Mount, a nonprofit organization in Montana, is launching a new initiative called "The Bridge to Our Future," which aims to enhance its programming through significant facility upgrades.  

The initiative focuses on funding improvements to the Eagle Mount campus.  

Key projects include a new roof for the aquatic center, the acquisition of 19 new acres for additional programming, and a new round pen for horsemanship activities.  

Heather Thomas, Eagle Mount's director of development, highlighted the importance of the facility upgrades.  

“We’ve acquired 19 adjacent acres. They are mainly two acres to the west, and 17 acres to the north,” she said. “We built a covered round pen which is part of the horseman ship education program.”  

The total cost of the initiative is $8 million, with $7.5 million already donated. The organization is still seeking $500,000 in donations to reach its goal.  

Participants at Eagle Mount are not only optimistic about the impact of these changes, but also how the facility upgrades will benefit their quality of life.  

Neal Baggett, an Eagle Mount program participant, shared his thoughts.  

“So, I think this place is like a great place to kind of, to build confidence and to be seen for whoever I am or whoever, whatever the participant is, and then carry that confidence back out into the community into other activities,” said Baggett.  

As the projects progress, the pool roof replacement is expected to be completed by this summer.  

Eagle Mount plans to celebrate the new initiative with a community event on June 13. The nonprofit is inviting the community for a gathering on their campus Western Rendezvous to celebrate the campaign, tour the aquatic center, and other campus enhancements, and celebrate Eagle Mounts mission.
