LEWIS AND CLARK COUNTY, Mont. — A motorcyclist was pronounced deceased following a crash east of Helena on Wednesday evening, according to the Montana Highway Patrol (MHP).

The crash occurred March 19 at 7:13 p.m. at the intersection of Wylie Drive and East Riggs Street.

MHP reported that a RAM 1500 was traveling south on Wylie Drive while attempting to turn east onto East Riggs Street. A Suzuki motorcycle was traveling north on Wylie Drive. The two vehicles collided front end to front end.

The motorcyclist was thrown over the hood of the RAM 1500 and landed in the roadway. He succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the motorcycle was a 27-year-old man who was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the RAM 1500 was a 48-year-old man who was wearing a seatbelt. Impairment of the RAM driver is suspected, according to MHP.
