MISSOULA, Mont. - An FBI operation outside of Missoula on Wednesday led to a car chase, crash and the detainment of all passengers inside, according to a press release from Missoula Police.

MPD said that a deputy with the Missoula County Sheriff's Office tried to make a traffic stop just after 10:00 a.m., but the car did not pull over, leading to a pursuit into Missoula city limits.

The car ultimately crashed in the area of England Boulevard and Lexington Avenue. MPD said everyone inside the car was detained, and no injuries were reported.

"The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into suspected narcotics distribution and firearm-related offenses," MPD said. "There is no threat to the public at this time."

The FBI Montana Regional Violent Crime Task Force investigation remains ongoing.
