First responders, officers in central Montana gain hands-on experience with training exercises

MONTANA — The Butte-Silver Bow Fire Department recently collaborated with GTR Towing in a hands-on training session using GTR's Rotator Tow Truck.

During the training, crews learned to rig and lift a vehicle and stabilize another. This allowed firefighters to gain a deeper understanding of the capabilities and limitations of heavy recovery equipment.

The session offered valuable insights into GTR's equipment, rigging configurations and operational setup.

Meantime, first responders and officers from across Chouteau County participated in a hands-on training session Sunday morning.

The training involved responders using tools on a car while others worked inside to assist a patient. This exercise aimed to provide responders with experience from both outside and inside the car.

And deputies and local responders have successfully completed a three-day emergency medical technician refresher course in Park County.

The course included classroom lessons and hands-on scenarios designed to enhance their skills in serving the community during emergencies.

Deputies and responders practiced crucial skills aimed at improving their ability to handle emergency situations effectively.
