Fort Peck police investigate threat to Wolf Point School systems

Wolf Point Public Schools said that after working with law enforcement and the FBI, officers told them there was no active threat.

The district said law enforcement will be present at Wednesday and the district will screen visitors to the school, but Wolf Point Schools will be open and function as normal. 

POPLAR, Mont. – Officers are investigating a threat made against the Wolf Point School system, according to Fort Peck Tribal Law Enforcement.

Tribal Law Enforcement said officers were treating the threat as viable and had made contact with “certain persons of interest on the matter.”

“Law enforcement are currently investigating the situation.  Procedures were put into motion to protect the community.  The public will be updated as needed,” Fort Peck Tribal Law Enforcement wrote.
