Four people dead in US 2 crash in Lincoln County

KALISPEL, Mont. - Four people were killed from injuries suffered in a crash on US 2 in Lincoln County Tuesday morning, Montana Highway Patrol (MHP) said in a release.

A 66-year-old driver from Kalispel crossed into the eastbound lane with his Dodge pickup truck and trailer and crashed head-on into a GMC pickup truck.

The driver of the Dodge pickup was pronounced dead at the scene along with two passengers from Libby in the GMC truck. The driver of the GMC pickup, also from Libby, died at the hospital, MHP said.

No other occupants were involved. MHP said the road was clear and dry at the time of the crash.
