HALLOWEEN RUMBLE

Skates clashed at the Haynes Pavilion on Saturday, Oct. 31, as the Bozeman Icedogs and the Yellowstone Quake faced off for a Halloween showdown. 

Bozeman took the ice on Saturday, energized by a 6-1 defeat of the Butte Cobras one night prior, and proceeded to control the puck in the offensive end of the rink for a large portion of the first period. Forward Landon Frost scored right off the bat, slapping the puck into the back of the Quake’s net 53 seconds into the game to bring the score to 1-0, Icedogs. Bozeman scored two more goals before the buzzer sounded, entering the second period leading the Quake 3-0.

Though possession in the second period seemed more evenly matched, the Quake remained unable to slip the puck past the Icedogs’ defense. Bozeman shot the puck three more times past Quake goalie Connor Carroll to bring the score at the end of the second period to 6-0.

Time took its toll on the Icedogs as they slowed down in the final period, allowing the Quake to score two unanswered goals. When the buzzer sounded at the conclusion of the match, the Icedogs’ tallied a 6-2 win to bring their season record to 6-3. 

The Icedogs will hit the road to the Great Falls Iceplex for their next game against the Great Falls Americans on Saturday, Nov. 7.
