High-speed chase in Madison County ends with arrest, search ongoing

MADISON COUNTY, Mont. — A high-speed chase on Montana Highway 84 led to one person being taken into custody Saturday night, according to authorities.

Deputies reported that after the car chase ended, two people fled from the vehicle. They managed to catch one of the individuals, but the search continues for the second person.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office is urging residents in Norris, Harrison and Bear Trap to lock their doors and report any suspicious activity.

They also advise calling 911 if a hitchhiker is spotted in the area.
