In Memory of Claudia Albrecht
Claudia Maria Albrecht was a loving, eager force of kindness to everyone she interacted with. A committed musician and generous friend, she shared her compassion with all who knew her. Claudia came to the U.S. from Austria to teach German and began working at MSU in 2023 as an academic services coordinator in the Earth Sciences Department.
Claudia’s love for music started at a young age and she shared this love through her participation in the Bozeman Symphony as a violinist. Her meticulous attention to detail combined with her fun-loving nature made her an ideal partner and a phenomenal musician.
As a friend, Claudia was described as open to all experiences, whether that meant exploring Bozeman’s trails or helping others through difficult times. She is remembered for her quiet love and supportive nature. When she saw someone struggling through a bad day, she would quietly sneak chocolates or a note of encouragement onto their desk. Claudia also supported those she worked with, always willing to help wherever she could.
In her role as an academic services coordinator, Claudia devotedly served the students and faculty in the Earth Sciences Department. Her love of helping students and willingness to work hard made her an especially talented staff member. Her creativity and problem-solving helped the department function as effectively as possible.
Claudia passed away on October 22, but her memory continues to touch the lives of her friends, family, coworkers and the students she served. Her kindness and unwavering dedication have left an indelible mark on not only the MSU community but all who had the privilege of knowing her.
