LaVerne Henrich

July 10, 1929 - March 1, 2026

LaVerne H. Henrich passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on March 1st, 2026. She was born in Great Falls, Montana to Harold and Georgia (Sheldon) Macumber and moved as an infant to Butte.

Mom spent some time working at Eddy's Bakery, a local laundry, a local candy shop, and spent the bulk of her working career at JC Penney.

Mom and Dad raised their 5 children at the family home in East Butte and later when their youngest, Lisa, was 10, they built a home on Wharton Street.

Not only was she Mom to 5 children of her own, she was considered a Mom and Grandma to countless others who came to know her and love her. She had a rare quality of making those around her feel comfortable, special and loved.

Mom married her forever sweetheart, Jim Henrich, on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1948, and their first child, Gary, was born on their first anniversary. Jim passed on Valentine's Day in 2004.

LaVerne is survived by her brother Rick O'Donnell, children and their spouses Gary and Irene Henrich, Dave and Cindie Henrich, Cindy and Jeff Ruffner, Lisa Henrich, and daughter-in-law Julie Henrich. She was Grandma to Teresa, Gena, David, Daniel, Jane, Elisabeth, Dennis, Brandon, Michael, Eric, Kelly, Laura, Tyler, Kimberlin and Cole, and Great Grandma/GG to Miranda, Zoe, Ezra, Tucker, Jada, Jenna, Brilee, Halle, Harper, Lexie, Tyson, Ava, Watson, Reese, Emmy, Brooke, Emerson, Brynn, Vivian, Carys, Ashlynn, Charley, Isabella, Coen, Beau, Luke, Brooklynn and Emmalynn and Great-Great grandchild Lottie.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her son Mike, grandson Brian, granddaughters Kirsten and Tori and many more family and good friends.

Mom, Grandma, GG, you are so loved and will be so missed.
