Letter to the editor: Independents need better representation

I have zero representation in government. As an Independent I am told by my representation they appreciate my input, political participation and concern for my fellow Montanans and U.S. citizens.

Yet every attempt to actually make a political difference I am told they will do things their way, which is always different than my suggestions. Why does that bother me so much?

I’m trying to make things better for those most deserving. I’m NOT swayed by a party, campaign money, the rich and powerful, politicians or even family. Try to find one elected politician that can claim that. Name a politician that leaves party to the side while representing you.

So yes, it angers me to be told I am politically wrong every time. With common sense and fairness being left out of all of our representation we as voters need to do better, demand better and see this in our elected no matter their party.

All the people we have elected do NOT represent as they claim and we the voters have set up this situation. You can tell by the words coming out of the elected whether they are a D or R. This should tell you who they will represent and who they won’t.
