Lima woman charged with deliberate homicide for death of disabled child

Nicole Lynn Boyer pleaded "not guilty" to all charges, according to court documents filed on Feb. 24.

LIMA, Mont. - A Lima woman has been charged with deliberate homicide in connection to the death of her young child.

Nicole Lynn Boyer was arrested on October 16 after calling 911 to report that her son had been sick for months and was now dead. According to court documents, when police arrived, Boyer told them something to the effect of, "just take me to jail."

Inside the home, police observed extreme conditions. The floor of the home was described as being covered in trash, rotting food, animal urine and feces.

According to court documents, the child was found already decomposing.

The child's exact age was not specified, but court documents said he was "almost 3 years old." Boyer said due to his medical conditions he could not walk, and had the speech development of a 1-year-old.

Boyer told investigators that she stopped giving her son water sometime in September, and didn't remember the last time he ate.

Three other minor children and an adult were removed from the home at the time of Boyer's arrest.

Boyer pled not guilty to the charges and is being held on a $500,000 bail.
