‘Live from Laurel Canyon’ brings back 1960s, 1970s in Butte Community Concert presentation

"Live from Laurel Canyon," a Butte Community Concert presentation, is an evening of live music and narrated stories of some of the most influential songwriters who lived in Laurel Canyon in the mid-1960s and 1970s.

The group will perform at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, at the Mother Lode Theatre, 316 W. Park St.

Laurel Canyon sits in the hills above Los Angeles and was the community of artists who created a new genre of music, folk rock, celebrating the Mamas and the Papas, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, James Taylor, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, The Eagles and America.

Their fresh versions of iconic songs, coupled with the stories which inspired the artists and the music, create an insightful, beautiful, humorous and memorable evening.

Tickets are $45 and can be purchased at the Mother Lode box office.
