Man shot in Poplar; two arrested after joint law enforcement investigation

Poplar, Mont. — A man was shot in the arm and shoulder in Poplar around 7:30 p.m. on April 1 and survived, according to the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said the man is in stable condition following the shooting.

Roughly an hour after the incident, law enforcement arrested a man and a woman in connection with the case. Both are being held at the Ft. Peck Tribal Detention Facility.

The sheriff’s office said there are no additional suspects and no ongoing threat to the public.

The investigation involved the Ft. Peck Tribal Police, the FBI, and the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office.
