Meagher County firefighters tackle multiple highway fires

MEAGHER COUNTY, Mont. – Meagher County and W-S-S City Fire teams responded to several fires near the Three Mile Wye recently, according to a report.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered multiple fires along the highway, burning through grass and willows and posing a threat to nearby buildings.

The teams worked for about eight hours to extinguish the fires and secure the area.

The fires are believed to have been sparked by trailer chains dragging on the highway.
