Missing Woman Found Deceased After Search in Bozeman
BOZEMAN, Mont. – Augusta Old Crow, who had been reported missing on February 17, 2026, has been found dead, according to the Bozeman Police Department.
Old Crow’s family last saw her on February 10, when she told them she was feeling very sick. Her camper was later discovered parked near North 15th Ave and West Oak St, but she was nowhere to be found.
Police said they located her body in a remote wetlands area nearby with help from a drone. The update was later shared publicly in a post on Facebook.
Detective Captain Anthony Hutchings said the department worked closely with the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office throughout the search and investigation.
“Evidence obtained during this investigation indicated Old Crow’s death was the result of a preexisting medical condition, not a criminal act,” Hutchings said.
The Montana Medical Examiner’s Office will release the official cause of death once their examination is complete.
The Bozeman Police Department extended condolences to Old Crow’s loved ones and thanked partner agencies for their assistance.
