MonDak Ag Days returns with education, trade show and family-friendly fun

SIDNEY — The entire Mon-Dak community is invited to attend MonDak Ag Days, March 5–7, at the Richland County Event Center.

This annual celebration of agriculture brings together producers, ag professionals, businesses and families for three days of learning, connection and community fun.

MonDak Ag Days isn’t just for those working in agriculture, it’s an event designed for the whole family. Whether you’re interested in the latest farming technology, want to enjoy great food with neighbors, or are simply looking for something fun to do in early March, there’s something for everyone.

The large trade show will showcase the latest in agriculture — from equipment and tools to feed, seed, breeding and agricultural technology. It’s a great opportunity to visit with exhibitors, ask questions, and even let the kids see impressive equipment up close. Throughout the event, attendees can connect with regional ag experts and industry representatives who help keep our local economy strong.

Educational sessions will be hosted by the MSU–Richland County Extension Office and are designed to provide timely, practical information for producers and ag professionals. Several sessions qualify for pesticide points and continuing education credits, making it both informative and valuable.

Thursday Education Sessions:

• 1 p.m. – Improving Management of White Mold in Pinto Beans and Soybeans (1 Pesticide Point)

• 2 p.m. – Estate Planning 101

• 3 p.m. – Cattle and Beef Market Situation and Outlook

Friday Education Schedule:

Friday’s schedule begins at 10:00 a.m. with a full lineup of relevant and engaging topics, including a special Lunch and Learn session.

• 10 a.m. – Weed Management Update for Montana (1 Pesticide Point)

• 11 a.m. – Supplementation and the Use of Salt: Considerations for Cattle Nutrition Programs

• 12 p.m. – Lunch and Learn with the Montana Bureau of Mines & Geology – Update on the Fox Hills/Hell Creek Aquifer in Eastern Montana

• 1 p.m. – A Pulse Crop Pest and Disease Survey Program for Eastern Montana (1 Pesticide Point)

• 2 p.m. – Upterra: Maximizing the Value of Your Water to Improve Efficiency and Profitability

• 3 p.m. – Fort Peck Dam Test Flow Updates

The addition of the Lunch and Learn with the Montana Bureau of Mines & Geology offers an update on the Fox Hills/Hell Creek aquifer, an important topic for landowners, producers and families.

Customer appreciation breakfasts will be held both days of the event, giving attendees a chance to start the morning with good food and great company. Farm Bureau will host breakfast on Friday and Butler Ag Equipment will host on Saturday. A free-will lunch will be provided Friday by the Sidney FFA, showcasing local youth involvement in agriculture.

Friday evening will bring the entire community together for food and fun. A free social hour runs from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by the popular Pitchfork Fondue Dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. The evening will feature nationally renowned comedian Tim Harmston, promising plenty of laughs. A full cash bar will be available. Tickets are required for the fondue dinner and comedy show and are available online or at the Sidney Chamber of Commerce.
