Motorcyclist dies after being launched into tree in Helena crash

HELENA, Mont. – A 26-year-old motorcyclist from Clancy was killed on the morning of February 6, after losing control of their motorcycle on North Benton Avenue, according to the Montana Highway Patrol (MHP).

The motorcyclist was reportedly traveling southbound at a high rate of speed on Benton Ave. before attempting a lane change and losing control. MHP officials reported that the motorcycle hit a curb, ejecting the rider into a street sign and then a tree.

Authorities responded to the scene, and the motorcyclist was transported to Billings Clinic for emergency treatment. According to MHP officials, the man was pronounced dead on February 14, 2025.
