MSU hosts 50th annual American Indian Council Powwow
BOZEMAN, Mont. — Dancers and singers gathered at Montana State University this weekend for a milestone celebration of Indigenous culture.
MSU hosted its 50th annual American Indian Council Powwow, a two-day event showcasing traditional dance skills and regalia.
The celebration began with a grand entry, followed by singing and dancing contests featuring various styles and age groups.
The 50th annual powwow marked the start of spring powwow season for Montana's universities.
MSU Billings will host its annual powwow April 10 through April 11.
The following weekend, the University of Montana will host the 57th annual Kyi-Yo Powwow on April 17 and 18 at the Adams Center.
