News briefs: Salvage sale set, Democracy Project at library

Salvage sale to be held Wednesday

Butte Citizens for Preservation and Revitalization will hold a salvage sale from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday in the rear basement of the Piccadilly Museum of Transportation, 20 W. Broadway St., with access from the alley.

Many reusable building materials are available at reasonable prices, including cabinets, pressed tin-ceiling panels, doors, windows, wood molding, bathroom fixtures and more.

Bring some cash or your checkbook. Gloves and a tape measure are recommended.

Butte Public Library to host Democracy Project

The Butte-Silver Bow Public Library at 226 W. Broadway St., has extended an invitation to teenagers who want to make a different in their school and community to join the Democracy Project.

Sponsored by Humanities Montana, teens will learn more about community action and government.
