Nova Cafe In Bozeman Closes Its Doors After Decades Of Service

BOZEMAN, Mont. — The Nova Cafe, a beloved coffee and pastry spot in downtown Bozeman, has closed its doors. 

The cafe has been a staple in the community for over 20 years, since its founding in 2005. 

Over the years, the ownership of the cafe has changed hands multiple times. 

The original founder sold the cafe in 2020. 

In 2023, ownership transferred again to Molly Brewer and Evan Thorpe. 

This week, signs appeared indicating the closure of the business, suggesting that the Nova Cafe is entering a new phase. The signs on the windows of the Nova Cafe read "NOVA CAFE IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED".  

Efforts to reach the current owners, Brewer and Thorpe, for comments on their decision to close the cafe have not yet been successful. 

The city has also been contacted for more information regarding the closure and future plans for the building, but no response has been received at this time. 

According to a Reddit user who visited the cafe prior to its closure, they say that Nova closed their doors on February 20th.
