Marlyce Rask

Marlyce Rask passed away in Butte, Mont., on Friday, February 13th. Born the middle child in a lively household, she was the heart of her band of brothers-the older Johnny Ray and her "big baby brothers," Mark and Greg.

Growing up Marlyce took care of her brothers and could often be found in the kitchen cooking for them. She was very independent, in her own way, and much to the chagrin of her family her brother Mark taught her to drive. She could regularly be spotted shopping at IGA or headed to Harrison Avenue Motors to visit her brothers.

Marlyce took great joy in watching out for the neighborhood. She never missed a chance to catch up with a passerby, always eager for updates and photos of their children to add to the growing gallery on her wall.

She lived in the family home for the majority of her life. When she moved to the Copper Ridge, she found a whole new "neighborhood" of great friends where she played bingo, crafted, and enjoyed visiting with residents and staff alike. She spent many hours visiting and watching programs with her dear "sister friend" Leita.

Marlyce is preceded in death by her Gram and Gramps; father, John; mother, Elda; brother, Greg; Aunt and Uncle: Violet and Matt; Auntie Doreen and Uncle Ed.

She is survived and dearly missed by her brothers: Johnny Ray and Mark (Kathy); sister-in-law, Sharman; niece, Presleigh and nephews: Tyson and Michael (Rachel and Alba); Uncle Bob, and bonus mother, Caroll Ann and many cousins: Rasks, O'dells, and Skinners.

To honor Marlyce's memory, the family asks that you simply share a smile with someone today.
