Road closures starting Monday in Butte for St. Patrick's Day

BUTTE, Mont. - Butte's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade is set for Tuesday at noon, but road closures uptown will begin as soon as Monday afternoon. Here's what to know:

Main Street from Broadway Street to Park Street will close on Monday at 4:00 p.m., and the Park Street entrance to the Parking Garage will close at 10:00 p.m.

Additional closures will follow at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday:

• Main Street (Granite Street to Broadway Street)
• Park Street (Montana Street to Main Street)
• Dakota Street (Broadway Street to Galena Street)
• Montana Street (Galena Street to Broadway Street)

All road closures will be lifted on Wednesday, March 18 at 8:00 a.m.

"Emergency vehicles will be the only vehicles permitted within the closure areas," Butte-Silver Bow Parks & Recreation said in a press release. "Vehicles must be removed from these areas to avoid towing."
