Several Montana, Wyoming counties eligible for assistance after damaging storms

HELENA, Mont. - Several Montana counties have been made eligible for assistance after damaging storms that brought hail, high winds and heavy rain.

Big Horn, Chouteau and Yellowstone counties are the primary counties marked as primary natural disaster areas by the USDA.

Emergency credit is also being extended to the following 17 contiguous counties in Montana and Wyoming:

Montana: Blaine, Carbon, Cascade, Fergus, Golden Valley, Hill, Judith Basin, Liberty, Musselshell, Pondera, Powder River, Rosebud, Stillwater, Teton and Treasure

Wyoming: Big Horn and Sheridan

Producers recovering from the natural disasters can use emergency loans to meet recovery needs including the replacement of essential items, according to the USDA.
