The Montana Department of Transportation said Thompson Pass was now open for the season and warned drivers about a lower speed limit through a repaired stretch.

In a Facebook post, MDT said the speed limit dropped to 35 mph in the area where crews worked on road damage tied to December flooding.

The agency also told travelers to plan for shifting weather before leaving.

For updated road conditions, MDT pointed drivers to their website.
