University of Montana announces presidential finalist campus visit April 6-7

MISSOULA, Mont. — University of Montana presidential finalist Dr. Jeremiah Shinn plans to visit the campus Monday and Tuesday, April 6-7, the school announced.

Shinn, the interim president of Boise State University, is scheduled to take part in meetings with campus leaders, faculty, staff, students and other university groups.

Montana Commissioner of Higher Education Clayton Christian said the search had drawn a large pool of applicants and had reached a key point.

“The search for UM’s next president has been robust, with a high volume of strong applicants,” Christian said. “We are excited to reach this stage of the search, and we encourage faculty, staff, students and the community to participate in this on-campus visit.”

The public is invited to the University Center on Monday, April 6, for a forum on the third floor at 3:30 p.m. and a community reception at 5 p.m.
