Washington man sentenced in Montana for drug crimes

MONTANA — A man from Washington has been sentenced for crimes committed in Montana, according to the Montana District Attorney's Office.

Court documents revealed that in August 2024, Felipe Garza was pulled over by police for failing to stop at a stop sign. During the investigation, officers discovered over 140 grams of meth, more than 50 grams of fentanyl pills, three pounds of marijuana, two firearms, cash and drug paraphernalia.

In November 2025, a jury found Garza guilty on several drug and gun charges. This week, a judge sentenced him to 16 years and two months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
