WEEKENDER EVENTS: Fly-tying techniques and fishing movies, game nights, concerts, and more

—The George Grant Chapter of Trout Unlimited will host “Flies and Brews” from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Sláinte, 8 S. Montana St. The evening includes learning about fly-tying techniques, along with meeting chapter volunteers and area fly tiers. There will also be raffles.

—The Covellite Theatre at 215 W. Broadway St., will host Game Night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday and is for all ages. The event is hosted by Jeff Hunt. No outside drinks allowed.

—Come back to one of the most unforgettable moments in music history as Paper Flowers brings “Remembering Fleetwood Mac” to the Covellite Theatre stage at 7 p.m. on Friday. This tribute is less about imitation and more about feeling, capturing the spirit of Fleetwood Mac at their creative peak during the late 1970s and the era surrounding "Rumours." Made up of four seasoned rock musicians, the group honors these iconic songs while adding their own voice and heart to the performance. For ticket information, go to the Covellite website.

—The Butte Education Foundation annual “Name That Tune” fundraising event is Saturday at the Butte Country Club. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the contest begins at 7. Teams of three are $300 each for the competition or $40 to be part of the audience. The entry fee includes hors d’oeuvres. Event sponsorships are also available. —The Butte Community Winter Market will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Elks Lodge, 206 W. Galena St.

—The Fly-Fishing Film Tour is coming to the Mother Lode Theatre, 315 W. Park St., on Saturday. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event begins at 7 p.m. Organizers said this tour kicks off with a fresh collection of the finest fly-fishing films from across the globe. According to a news release, the 2026 lineup spotlights wild places, inspiring conservation stories, and the dedicated individuals who live and breathe fly fishing. A general admission ticket for adults is $25. Children that are 17 and under pay $15.

—A film screening of “BROWN: Will America Kill Him?” will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Covellite Theatre, 215 W. Broadway St. The film, directed by Raj Amit Kumar, tells the story of an immigrant navigating life in a small Montana mountain town while being pursued by ICE, forming unexpected bonds with a young orphan girl he promises to protect and a woman who loves him in a place that often rejects outsiders. —The Butte Public Library will host a Library Trivia Night at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, in the Cavalier Lounge at the Finlen Hotel, 100 E. Broadway St. Entry fees are $5 per person, and refreshments are available for purchase. Prizes are awarded to the highest scoring teams.
