WEEKENDER EVENTS: Game night, Cinderella, Dusty Slay, 'Irish' fundraiser and more

—The Covellite Theatre at 215 W. Broadway St., will host Game Night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, which is for all ages. The event is hosted by Jeff Hunt. No outside drinks allowed.

—The World Ballet Company’s “Cinderella” is brought to life in a spectacular Broadway-style production at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Mother Lode Theatre, 316 W. —The Whitehall Future Farmers of America Alumni will have a “Forever Blue” dinner and dance on Saturday at the Whitehall Community Center, 11 N. Division St., Whitehall. Doors open at 4 p.m., and dinner is served at 5 p.m., with music by Lance Handyside. There will also be live and silent auctions. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students. Kids 5 and under get in free.

—The Spirit of Columbia Gardens is gearing up for St. Patrick’s Day with an “Everybody is Irish on St. Pat’s Day!” fundraiser on Saturday at 3105 Utah St., Stodden Park. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and dinner is at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $50. The evening includes food, music, 50/50 tickets, auctions, drinks and games.

—Imagine Butte Resource Center at 68 W. Park St., will be hosting an “Ignite the Night” masquerade ball on Saturday. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The special fundraiser benefits the arts in Butte. Semi-formal to formal attire is requested, along with masks. Donations are welcome.

—Stand-up comedian Dusty Slay will be performing at 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Mother Lode Theatre, 316 W. Park St. Now the Alabama native with the “We’re having a Good Time” attitude is hitting cities across the country playing comedy clubs and selling out theaters. —Butte’s own Dragged Out will bring a powerful night of heavy music at 8 p.m. on Saturday at the Covellite Theatre showcasing some of the strongest voices in Montana’s metal and alternative scenes. For ticket information, go to the Covellite website.

—The Butte Public Library’s weekly “Cooking the Books” class will be at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11. “Chef’s Secret” is the theme, and the featured meal is white fish with beurre blanc. —The Butte-Silver Bow Public Archives’ Brown Bag Lunch Series will be at noon on Wednesday, March 11, at 17 W. Quartz St. The speaker will be author and historian Brenda Wahler, who will talk about her book, “Marcus Daly’s Montana Empires: Copper Mining, Racehorses, and Politics.” The presentation will be held in the Archives’ auditorium.
