West Yellowstone Police Department receives grant for officer safety equipment

WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont.- The West Yellowstone Police Department (WYPD), received a grant for new safety equipment, according to WYPD.

The Mason Moore Foundation awarded the grant to the department, which will be used to equip officers with rifle rated ballistic plates.

911 Manager Brenda Phillips accepted the grant on behalf of the department.

The ballistic plates will be used to enhance protection for officers in the field, according to the department.

The West Yellowstone Police Department says partnerships like this help keep officers safer while they serve the community.
