What's happening in Butte?: Rock and roll comedy, history lecture, yoga, winter market

—The Covellite Theatre at 215 W. Broadway St., will have Game Night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday and is for all ages. The event is hosted by Jeff Hunt.  No outside drinks allowed.

—A free donation-based yoga class, brought to you by Rooted Tribe Hot Yoga, will be hosted at 5:30 p.m. on Friday at the Mother Lode Theatre, 316 W. Park St. The class is available for all ages and abilities, and attendees are asked to bring their own mat and water bottle.

—Due to the overwhelming demand to attend “A Night in Butte History” with local historian Chris Fisk, the venue has been moved to The Depot, 818 S. Arizona St. The event, to be held on Friday, includes a pasty dinner at 6 p.m., with the historical Mining City lecture to follow. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the Belmont, 615 E. —The free movie at 7 p.m. on Friday in the Covellite lounge is the 1992 film, “Bram Stoker's Dracula.”

—The Butte Community Winter Market will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Elks Lodge, 206 W. Galena St.

—The Butte-Silver Bow Public Library at 226 W. Broadway St., will host a Saturday Movie Afternoon at 1 p.m. on Saturday at 226 W. Broadway St. For more details, call the library at 406-792-1080.

—The work of local artist Peg Amtzis is now featured at the Covellite lounge, 215 W. Broadway St. A reception celebrating her work will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. A folk artist, Amtzis spends her days with her brushes and bright-colored acrylic paints to bring Butte’s past and present unique architecture and landmarks to light.

—Get ready for an event where rock and comedy crash together with the Jack Willhite: Rock & Roll Comedy Show. Willhite, a professional rock vocal impressionist and stand-up comic will perform from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Covellite Theatre, 215 W. Broadway St. Supporting sets from Kane O’Neil and April Huerta round out a stacked lineup that promises a wildly fun night for rock fans and comedy lovers alike. —The Butte Public Library offers drop-in Tech Help to help you get the most out of your technology at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at 226 W. Broadway St. No appointment is necessary. Just bring your device and your questions.

—The Mining City Family Science Night, will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, at the Science Mine, 36 E. Granite St. The special Easter-themed evening celebrating spring is a family-friendly positive way to celebrate. Come explore hands-on exhibits, along with interactive science fun.

—The free movie, “Mrs. Doubtfire,” released in 1993, starts at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Covellite Theatre, 215 W. Broadway St.

—The Butte Public Library will host a Library Trivia Night at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, in the Cavalier Lounge at the Finlen Hotel, 100 E. Broadway St. Entry fees are $5 per person, and refreshments are available for purchase. Prizes are awarded to the highest scoring teams. —Singer-songwriter Maiah Wynne will be performing at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, at the Mother Lode Theatre, 316 W. Park St. Doors open at 6 p.m. Based in Gresham, Oregon, Wynne said her debut solo album “Out of the Dark,” which she also self-produced, is an eclectic mix of heartfelt singer-songwriter ballads, alternative rock, and uplifting cinematic folk-pop.
