Yellowstone sets April 17 opening for Gardiner and West entrances
Yellowstone National Park officials announced an opening date for some of its entrances and roads.
Starting at 8 a.m. on April 17, the North Entrance in Gardiner and the West Entrance in West Yellowstone will open to the public.
From those two entrances, visitors may reach Mammoth Hot Springs, Lamar Valley, Norris Geyser Basin, Old Faithful and other destinations.
Park officials said more roads inside Yellowstone will open throughout May, weather permitting.
