Fires in Jefferson County prompt burn safety reminders

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mont. — The Boulder-Bull Mountain Volunteer Fire Departments responded to two separate fires on Tuesday. The first incident involved an un-permitted and unattended burn pile. The second was a permitted burn that became uncontrollable due to wind conditions.

The fire departments emphasized the importance of actively monitoring any planned burns and reminded local residents of the necessity to purchase a burn permit annually and activate it before each burn.
