Grass fire contained in Polson after 2 properties suffered minor damages

POLSON, Mont. - The Polson Rural Fire Department contained a grass fire near Ponderilla Drive and Kerr Dam Road on Monday afternoon. Two nearby properties sustained minor damage.

PRFD said in a social media post that crews were dispatched at around 3:20 p.m.

"First arriving units found a fire burning in fine fuels, headed toward nearby structures," PRFD said.

The nearly four-acre fire was contained around 4:00 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
