Great Falls gears up for duck release and murder mystery scavenger hunt

Due to upcoming weather forecast, Great Falls Parks and Rec has postponed the duck release to April 6, at 10:30 a.m.

GREAT FALLS, Mont. — Great Falls has a lineup of community events planned for the coming weeks.

On April 3, the city's Parks and Recreation team will release ducks back into Gibson Pond. The public library will host a crafts and story time session at 9:00 a.m. before the duck release begins at 10:30 a.m.

For those looking for something different, a scavenger hunt and murder mystery event is coming to the Rivers Edge Trail. From April 18 through April 25, the trail will host the Ice Breaker Caper.

During this multi-day event, participants will walk along the trail, encounter suspects, find clues and try to solve the mystery of the missing Ice Breaker medals.

An evidence tracker app is available for download to help participants keep track of clues. Anyone who believes they have solved the mystery must submit their findings by midnight on April 25. All correct submissions will be entered to win prizes.
