MONTANA — The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office reported that Keith Mack, a 63-year-old from Troy, Montana, was found in Spar Lake after going missing on February 28, 2026.

Mack had left for an ice fishing trip but did not return home as expected. Family members searched through the night and found his snowmobile at Spar Lake Campground. Unable to locate him, they contacted the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office for assistance.

David Thompson Search and Rescue personnel and deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office began their search. Mack's fishing gear was found near a hole in the ice.

The Flathead County Search and Rescue dive team was called in to assist with the recovery. Divers found Mack in the water on March 2, 2026.

The family has been notified of Mack's recovery.
